How do I create an account?
To create an account:
- Go to the login page
- Click "Sign Up"
- Enter your full name, email, and password
- Agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
- Click "Create Account"
- Check your email for verification (if required)
What are the system requirements?
My Course Cloud works on:
- Browsers: Chrome 80+, Firefox 75+, Safari 13+, Edge 80+
- Operating Systems: Windows 10+, macOS 10.14+, iOS 13+, Android 8+
- Screen Size: Responsive design works on all devices
- Internet: Minimum 2 Mbps for smooth experience
Is the platform free to use?
Yes, My Course Cloud is completely free for students. There are no subscription fees or hidden charges.
The platform is supported by educational institutions and developer contributions.
Files & Materials
How do I find course materials?
You can find course materials in several ways:
- Search: Use the search bar at the top to find specific files
- Filters: Use the sidebar to filter by semester, course, or subject
- Browse: Scroll through all files in the main dashboard
- Favorites: Access frequently used files from your favorites
How do I add files to favorites?
To add files to favorites:
- Find the file you want to favorite
- Click the star icon in the bottom right corner of the file card
- The star will turn yellow indicating it's favorited
- Access your favorites by clicking the star icon in the header
Tip: You can also remove files from favorites by clicking the star again.
Why can't I upload my own files?
My Course Cloud is designed as a centralized repository for course materials provided by your educational institution. File uploads are managed by course administrators to ensure:
- Quality control of materials
- Proper organization and categorization
- Copyright compliance
- Consistent formatting
If you need specific materials added, please contact your instructor or course administrator.
How do I download files?
To download files:
- Click on any file card to open it
- The file will open in Google Drive
- In Google Drive, click the download button (downward arrow icon)
- Choose where to save the file on your device
Note: Files are hosted on Google Drive, so you need to download them from there.
Account Management
How do I reset my password?
To reset your password:
- Go to the login page
- Click "Forgot Password"
- Enter your email address
- Check your email for a password reset link
- Click the link and enter your new password
- Return to the login page and sign in with your new password
Note: The reset link expires after 24 hours for security.
How do I change my profile information?
To update your profile:
- Click your profile picture in the top right corner
- Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu
- Click "View Profile" in the Account section
- Click the edit button (if available) to make changes
- Save your changes
Note: Some profile information (like email) may require verification.
How do I delete my account?
To delete your account:
- Go to Settings → Account
- Click "Delete Account"
- Enter your email address to confirm
- Read the warning message carefully
- Click "Delete Account" to confirm
Warning: Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. All your data will be permanently deleted.
Is my data secure?
Yes, we take data security seriously:
- Encryption: All data is encrypted in transit and at rest
- Authentication: Secure login with Firebase Authentication
- Privacy: We don't sell or share your personal data
- Compliance: We follow industry best practices and regulations
- Backups: Regular backups ensure data integrity

Course Videos
How do I access course videos?
To access course videos:
- Click "Course Videos" in the sidebar or go to course-videos.html
- Browse through available videos
- Click any video to watch it
- Use the search bar to find specific videos
Videos are organized by category and can be filtered by topic.
Can I download videos?
Videos are streamed from YouTube and other platforms. To download videos:
- Click the video to open it
- Click "Open Original" in the video player
- This will open the video on its original platform (YouTube)
- Use the platform's download feature (if available)
Note: Download availability depends on the video owner's settings and copyright restrictions.
Why are some videos not playing?
If videos aren't playing, try these solutions:
- Check internet connection: Ensure you have a stable connection
- Update browser: Make sure your browser is up to date
- Clear cache: Clear your browser cache and cookies
- Disable ad blockers: Some ad blockers interfere with video players
- Try another browser: Test with a different browser
- Check platform restrictions: Some videos may be region-restricted
